We began a discussion on sounds in the previous article. Let us continue from where we left the discussion.

The ultrasonic wave has a destructive tendency. However, it can be modified. When the wave is modified, it can be used to cure diseases. But, then when not modified, the same ultrasonic wave turns out to be fatal to human life. The physical and mental shock produced by such sounds, directly impairs the ears.

There is a term for this science. It's called as Auriculotherapy – it is a new form of science, wherein the patient is given, pressure and puncture in specific points. The ear has acupressure points, which are connected to all the parts of the body. The entire body is symbolically represented as a child which is lying in the womb. The appearance of a baby in a womb represents a form of ear. Accordingly, the acupressure points are present in the ear.

This means, the entire body has specific connection points in the ear. Hence when the ear receives ultrasonic sounds of high frequency, this will impair it. Simultaneously, the acupressure point in the ear transforms this excess energy to other parts of the body which are connected to the ear. As a result, the connected body parts get severe physical and mental shock. The shocks can be fatal enough to cause a person's death immediately.

When a person is the victim of such an ultrasonic sound of high frequency, his ears get impaired and consequently the connected body parts are also adversely affected. The layman does not understand this phenomenon, and feels that the sound must have been made by a ghost and because of that sound the person's blood got frozen and the person died immediately.

The term used for this phenomenon by the layman is AMANUSHYAM – beyond human powers – namely OCCULT Science. Because the layman is ignorant of the scientific reason behind such a phenomenon, he feels that some ghost / occult power is the cause of such phenomenon.

We discussed the significance of the traditions that form a part and parcel of the function of thread ceremony amongst Hindus in the previous article.

It's commonly observed nowadays that people are more fascinated and curious to learn about the latest and emerging topics. They always want something new to know, something new to read, something new to discuss, something new to eat etc etc.

People speak about the glory of acupressure and acupuncture nowadays!
The same intelligent souls, who criticize the wearing of the KANGHANAM, nose rings, ear rings etc, pierce their body and paint their body with westernized tattoos! It is such a pity!!

Such people please bear in mind. Nothing, in Hinduism is without reasoning. Also, there is nothing good that exists today but is outside the scope of Hinduism.

In this article, let's discuss a bit on sounds. We hear so many sounds in our day to day life. Right from the alarm sound that wakes us up in the morning / door bell that is rung by the 'doodhwallas' in metros, to the honking of the vehicles on the roads, to the chit chatting of the people in trains and buses and one can go on and on and the list is simply endless.

The above mentioned sounds have one thing in common. All of them are audible to the human ear. Further they are not an exhaustive list. There exist sounds which cannot be heard by the human beings. The human ear has a limited capacity to hear sounds which happen within a certain range of measurement. Some sounds are heard by certain animals like elephants, bats etc but not by us. One of the sound which is beyond the hearing capacity of human ears is the ultrasonic wave.

It's said that everything has twin sides. For example: A knife is used by a robber to commit theft and it's also used by a surgeon to perform a surgery.

The knife is a common factor in both the cases but its use is very different. The first is a constructive use and the second a destructive use. The first accrues good and the other, sin.

The above mentioned ultrasonic waves also have two sides.

Significance of the thread ceremony function

We discussed about the thread ceremony function held among the Hindus in the pervious article. This function takes place when a child is 5 to 7 years old. The main part of this function is wearing of the sacred thread around the body.

As mentioned in the previous article, during this function, there is also a tradition of wearing a thread around the waist.

This would seem unreasonable to a layman who is ignorant of the deep hidden secrets behind the traditions of Hinduism. One would naturally argue about the reason behind such a tradition.

Let us find out the significance of this tradition in this article.

The thread that the child wears around the waist is made of either gold or silver.

Here it's noteworthy that, silver or gold are metals that have a medicinal value. Metals, as is known to most of us, are good conducting medium. They help in the conductivity of motor nerve impulses within the body.

For those who are reading this blog for knowing more about science,

The chemical symbol for Gold is Au. The chemical name for Gold is Aurum. The symbol for silver is Ag. The chemical name is Argentum.

These metals give resistance to the body like a shock absorber, and prevent the body from the shock of any motor nerve impulses.

Please make a note that, from the tender age of 5 onwards, the boy is nourished with the pressure of CHANG – TSIAO point. So, he grows with the positive power of this Chi Energy. This is very beneficial and necessary for the human body.

Nowadays we can see advertisements in the idiot box i.e. television relating to health foods which the companies claim that they contain 'sona aur chandi' meaning 'silver and gold'! They have awakened pretty soon to realise the fact that these metals are beneficial to the human body. But they don’t know that this is known to Hinduism since ages!! Isn't it such a pity!

The other two points are also given pressure by wearing a KANGHANAM – bracelet around those parts.

Ignorant people laugh on seeing such actions during the ceremony and wonder what the people in the ceremony are doing. They feel that they have become hysterical. They think that why would one pierce one's body and wear ornaments, just like dressing a goat kept for slaughter; and kill one's natural beauty?

However please please remember that nothing in Hinduism is without a reason!

The sad part is that because the reasons for the phenomena are not known, today Hinduism is not benefiting the lives of the 100 crore plus population of India which is inhibited by Hindus majorly!

Combating with the ghost!

In the previous article we discussed about the hazards of resting under a tree during night due to emission of poisonous gases from the trees.

When such poisonous gases enter the human body it causes a concussion i.e. bleeding from the nostrils, ears and mouth. To recover from such a concussion, acupressure can be used.

If blood is oozing from ears and mouth, use CHANG – TSIAO and TEHAO – RAE left side. Further after 10 minutes the TSIENN – IU point has to be applied acupressure.

A brief on where the above acupressure points are located:

1) CHANG – TSIAO: The point lies on the backside lowermost bone.

2) TEHAO – RAE: The point lies on the left feet ankle joint.

3) TSIENN – IU: This point corresponds to energy, which has been discussed previously.

We now discuss these three points in detail:

CHANG – TSIAO –

Among Hindus, people wear a thread around their waist, usually tight giving pressure to this point. In the early years, at the age of 5 or 7 years, UPANAYANAM (Thread Ceremony) function is celebrated. (Sacred thread wearing ceremony). During this ceremony, a thread made of either Silver or Gold is given. The disciple (SHISHYA) is asked to wear this golden thread or silver thread, around his waist.

Further, in this ceremony, the SHISHYA is asked to stand on a hard stone. The PUROHIT (guru) recites a Slokha which has a meaning

“Let you be strong in mind and body like this hard rock”.

Now an obvious question will arise in the mind dear readers; that what is the necessity of the ceremony and the thread?

A ghost in the forest!

A very happy 60th Independence Day to all of you! Celebrate this independence by doing lots of namajapam and Guru Dhynanam.

In the previous article the photosynthesis process was explained. It is the process by which the trees prepare their food using sunlight, carbon–di–oxide and water. When the trees carry out this process, they take in carbon–di–oxide from the air and give out oxygen. However after sunset, the trees take in oxygen and give out carbon–di–oxide and other gases. Hence although one can rest under a tree during daytime, one must not do so during night time.

But sometimes it can so happen that one may need to rest under a tree during night time.

For eg: Some one roaming in a forest may have to rest under a tree. The gases emitted from the trees may be hazardous, during night. The gases such as Carbon mono – oxide (CO), Lead oxide (PbO2), Tin Oxide etc., are not good for health. We speak about air pollution, due to the emission of burnt fuels, from the vehicles. The same thing may happen in the forest also on account of the exhalation of harmful gases by the trees.

Since the forest is a closed environment, the sudden gush of air from the swinging of branches may produce large entry of poisonous gases into the body. These gases directly enter the circulatory system leading to bleeding from nostrils and ears.

If a person does not know the reasoning behind the happening of such phenomena, then it's pretty obvious that he will be terribly sacred. The layman used to describe that the swinging of branches indicates the arrival of ghost, and the attack of ghost results in bleeding from nostrils. (as if the ghost as slapped the victim!). The external context may be omitted. We need to know the reason behind it.

When a person faces such a situation, what can he/she do? If the person is ignorant about the reasons for such happenings, he is sure to be frightened like anything and that fright, more than anything else, can harm him the most; and it may even take the life of that person!

Such a condition in which there is bleeding from the nostrils and the mouth is termed as 'Concussion'.

However, there is a solution for such a situation. In the science of Acupressure, there are 3 different points for the cure of the traumatic condition.

The last article focused on the concept of 'Reiki' which is word having it's roots in Japan.

We mentioned that the word Reiki is the translation of the original Indian word “Brahma Prana”. Brahma Prana is mentioned in Bhagavatham and Yoga Suthram. The life force is represented as “PRANA”.

Let's have a quick rewind of the concepts that we have explained in the recent articles on this blog. If you have been regularly reading our articles then you must be well conversant with these terms. But for those who have joined the blog recently, a quick recap for them. Then we move on with a new topic.

1) PADHA RAKSHA: Wooden slippers – to close the electric circuit at the feet, preventing the drain out of divine energy.

2) CHINMUDHRA: The yogic meditation symbol, using the fingers of our Right hand, which acts as a battery and circulates electromagnetic energy flow into the body.

3) The other MUDHRA, on the left hand side, which represents the out flow of energy – electronic motor nerve impulses from the body.

4) PADHMASANA: The seating position, which puts pressure on the right feet knee – cap below point, which in turn check the sexual cravings.

5) DHANDAM: The wooden stick, kept below the armpit of left hand side, which prevents the flow of negative energy through the left side NADI.

6) KANGHANAM: Open type copper bracelet – which relieves nervous debility and hysterical symptoms. It also creates a vacuum, which diverts the shock impulses (ghost affliction) to the cosmos. All these are scientific principles discussed on the basis of acupressure and electromagnetism.

Now, let us touch upon a new topic.

We breathe in oxygen and breathe out Carbon – di – Oxide. Students learn this in their early school days. Further we also know that the trees absorb this CO₂ (Carbon di oxide) and give out oxygen, which purifies the air. Hence it's always emphasized that we should plant more and more trees. They are an indispensable part of the ecological system. And nowadays rapid urbanization and industrialization has made it all the more important to grow more trees. Otherwise a day will come when even breathing will become impossible due to paucity of oxygen in the air.

Further, the trees which take in the Carbon–di–oxide, breathe out the same, after a certain period of time. This is because; the trees carry out the process of photosynthesis during the day time. Photosynthesis is the process by which the trees derive energy. They prepare food for themselves through this process. It is done using sunlight, carbon–di–oxide and water. As sunlight is one of the ingredients of this process, the trees are forced to carry out this process during day time. So as long as the trees receive sunshine, they keep on taking in carbon–di–oxide and preparing their food. After the sun sets, they consume the food energy prepared and stored by them during the day. Hence it's said that one should rest under a tree during daytime but not during the night time.

What is Reiki?

We have explained in detail about the scientific reason behind holding a wooden rod commonly known as 'Dhandam' in Hinduism under the left armpit by the rishis (sages).

This means that as per pure science, in the light of electricity concepts, the DHANDAM stops the negative energy flow from the cosmos in to our body.

In this article let's know about a few other concepts.

Reiki

'ReiKi' is commonly understood to be a holistic system of natural healing which utilizes the divine or universal energy to treat various ailments. It’s a combination of two words 'Rei' and 'Ki'.

The word “Rei” signifies the universal energy and the word “Ki” signifies the life force energy.

Reiki is the translation of the original Indian word “Brahmaprana” (BRAHMAPRANA).

“Brahma” refers to brahmaand (BRAHMAAND), the universe and “Prana” (PRANA) means 'Life Force Energy' which is the same as “Ki” in Japan (Life Force Energy) or ''Chi'' in China (Life Force Energy).

Acupressure works on the principles of regulating the energy flow of “Chi” fluid.

Throughout our body, the Chi fluid flows continuously. When a blockage is formed, the ailments arise. This happens because the 'chi' fluid i.e. the life force energy gets accumulated in certain parts of the body only. It does not flow to other parts of the body. For the body to function properly, this fluid should flow evenly to all parts.

So to rectify such a problem, what is to be done? Read on…

In our body, there are specific energy points called as Chi Points which we call it, as acupressure points.

By giving pressure on the respective points, we can distribute the excess energy accumulated in that area, to other parts of the body. This distribution brings in the equilibrium. The equilibrium state is health.

The word Brahmaprana (BRAHMAPRANA) is mentioned in BHAGAVATHAM and YOGA SUTHRAM. So this technique is known to Hinduism since ages!!

Whereas the names like 'Reiki' have come to light just recently. That’s the greatness of out Hinduism. So be proud that you are a part of Hinduism.

The ultimate weapon to fight a ghost!

In this article let us know more about the wooden rod known as 'Dhandam' carried by the rishis of the ancient times.

As we have mentioned in our previous articles, the rishis used to carry the Dhandam under their left armpit. Let us know the intricacies as to how the Dhandam was of use to them.

As we all know, the energy flow requires the connectivity of positive and negative terminal. Without such connectivity, the energy cannot flow. The NADI (energy flow in the body), that is governing the left hand side, will be flowing from the head to foot. The head acts as the positive terminal. The feet act as the negative terminal. This entire structure is similar to that of a battery.

Now what does the Dhandam have to do with all this? Read on…

By carrying a wooden stick, the rishi actually prevents the negative energy flows from the universe to him. The wood, being a non – conductor, stops the passage of electricity when the negative energy flows from the universe try to affect the rishi. The negative energy flows are the evil forces called as demons or more popularly known as 'rakshasas' in Hinduism.

The armpit, is just below the SHOULDER BLADE POINT (TSIENN – IU POINT OF ACCUPRESSURE). This means the energy either positive or negative stored in the body will be focused in the Tsienn – Iu Point. The wooden stick, kept at the underneath of this point, actually prevents the flow of electric impulses.

We have already seen that, GHOST - means, the negative universal energy(Refer the previous articles of this blog for the same).

It flows from the earth in to our body through that acupressure point which has been our subject matter i.e. the Tsienn – Iu Point (shoulder blade.)

People who are affected by a ghost suffer from fits. When that happens it can be observed that the shoulders vibrate to and fro. Why do the shoulders have to vibrate?

The answer is that the shoulders represent the energy point. (Tsienn – Iu) through which the energy flows in and out of the body from and to the universe.

The innocent looking yet extremely effective and powerful wooden stick, known as Dhandam in Hinduism, prevents this energy flow.

So whenever the rishis became aware that there were negative energies around them, they made use of this Dhandam to prevent energy flows between their body and the environment in which the negative energies are present.

This is because the rishis were a reservoir of lots of positive energies attained through a lot of tough penance. So they did not want these energies to flow away from their bodies to the environment in which the negative energies were present. Conversely, they also didn't want the negative energies to flow into their body which would annul the positive energies already present in their bodies.

Moral of the story is dear friends that The DHANDAM CAN DRIVE AWAY THE GHOST.

Linking the Tsienn-Iu point and the Dhanadam

In the previous article we talked about the Tsienn- Iu point in Acupressure which is related to flow of energy in the body. We present you, in this article the link between the action of the rishis (sages) of holding the wooden rod (DHANDAM) under their left armpit and the significance of the use of acupressure technique on the Tsienn- Iu point.

The Tsienn–Iu point can be made use of when a person feels exhausted. By applying acupressure on this point, it's possible to revitalize the body. The weak and tired body will then feel fresh and energetic if the above is done.

The feeling that a person gets can be compared to that feeling which a tired person gets when he is given glucose to eat or to drink.

So this Acupressure technique is a good substitute to consuming Glucon–D! isn't it?

This technique may be capable of revitalizing the body thereby making a person feel energetic. However it's equally important that the mind and soul should also be revitalized. Going one level higher, only the body feeling energetic with a tired mind is of no use. Going one more level higher, the revitalization of the soul is the most important. An energetic body and mind shall not suffice!

This Acupressure technique cannot achieve that. Once again as usual we can see that there are limitations to science.

But 'Guru Dhynanam' (Meditating on one's Guru) and Naamsankeertanam (Chanting of Lord's name) can easily do the job. Even if one chants for five minutes Krishna Krishna Krishna Krishna Krishna, surely one can feel the freshness of the mind. So also thinking about one's Guru and doing everything as per his instructions also helps to revitalize the mind and the soul.
The above method is not bluff. It's a tested one. It is being prescribed after taking into consideration the experiences of several devotees of Radhekrishna Sathsangam.

The logic of the Acupressure Technique on the Tsienn–Iu point was known to Hinduism much earlier and that’s the reason why the rishis carried the Dhandam under their left armpit. However, the importance and method of revitalizing the mind and the soul is not known to science. It's known to the evergreen Hinduism though.

That is precisely the reason why even after ages today, things prescribed in Hinduism are followed by the people of India i.e. our beloved Bharath Bhoomi.

The significance of holding a wooden stick under the left armpit!

If you recollect, we began with a new topic in the previous article. It was related to the action of the holding of a wooden rod (DHANDAM) under the left armpit by the rishis (sages). Following is the continuation.

In acupressure, there is a specific point called Tsienn- Iu (TSIENN – IU). This point corresponds to energy flow, in the body.

It is just like fuse used in the households. When the quantum of current flowing exceeds the quantum of current needed by various accessories, then the fuse bears the brunt of the excess current and thereby it saves the accessories from getting damaged. However, as the result the flow of current to the accessories stops and they stop functioning. When the fuse is repaired, the accessories start working once again.

In the same way, our body has many rooms called as organs with various electronic gadgets running in the form cells and tissues.

The universal energy continuously flows from the cosmos to our body. This specific point acts as a receptor and receives the universal energy. When the energy flow stops from the cosmos, we face sudden shock. When the fuse wire is replaced, the electronic items in the house, starts functioning. In the same way, when a hard pressure is given in this point, then the universal energy (current) starts flowing in to the body, once again.

The point – Tsienn- Iu, has a significance towards shock, especially electric shock. People who have experienced the electric shock, can be given acupressure at this point as a first aid, to relive them from the effects of shock.

These are such beautiful scientific facts which are known to Hinduism since ages but it's possible that even the so–called doctors may not know this! Yes dear readers this is the real truth. Today the profession of a 'doctor' has degraded a lot. There are several doctors who do not respect their profession. There was a time when doctors were considered next to God. But nowadays people are slowly losing their faith in some doctors. However it remains a fact that not all doctors are such.

However, without losing track of the main purpose of this blog, we come back to the article.

When a person's skin is pale, cold and clammy, it’s a symptom of shock and it's advisable to use acupressure technique on the Tsienn- Iu point.

The effect of a severe electric shock can be annulled by this point. Actually, this point represents the tip of the SHOULDER BLADE (just above the armpit).

We bring you a fresh and new concept from the Acupressure technique in this article. Later on as we proceed we will also explain to you how the same technique is linked to Hinduism. Its something which will definitely make you exclaim in surprise as to
'WOW! I didn't know that there can be such deep logic hidden in this apparently ignorant matter!' yes dear readers, the article is like that! Without making you wait any longer here we go with the article.

In the body, as per YOGA SUTHRA, two types of energy flow in a rhythmic manner. The energy flow in the body is termed as NADI.

There are two types of NADI. They are 'IDAI' and 'PINGALAI'. One controls the left hand side of the human body, while the other controls the right hand side.

In olden times, The RISHI’S who used to stay in the forests and perform 'yagnas' (a ritual that generally involves lighting up a sacrificial fire and reciting manthras etc) used to carry a wooden stick under the armpit of the left hand side. This wooden stick was called as 'DHANDAM'. This scene can be actually seen in a few programmes on the television like 'Ramayanam' and 'Mahabharatham' in which the persons performing the role of the rishis actually carry this 'DHANDAM' under their left armpit(though in reality they may not be knowing the real reason behind doing so!). Now this may seem as a very irrelevant thing to the common man while watching these epics. But dear readers this seemingly unimportant thing has a very significant impact!

Logical questions like,

1. Why should they carry it on the 'left hand side' armpit region and not right hand side?
2. Why should they in the first place carry a 'DHANDAM' at all? arise in one's mind.

To which the answer goes thus:
In the human body, the left hand side corresponds to a NADI, which controls and improves the performance of mental creativity. It also controls the cravings and the sexual performances of human beings.

If one aggravates the power of this NADI, one actually induces and adds fuel to the fire of cravings. To check the progress of cravings, one has to control the body through a technique. The RISHI’S used to do this by carrying a wooden stick at the armpit of the left hand side. We know, that wood is a non – conductor of electricity and that it does not let electricity or energy pass through it. We have embarked upon this point in our previous articles related to the wearing of 'wooden slippers' by the rishis if you remember.

The magical bracelet!

In the last article we touched upon an Acupressure technique with the help of which we could control the body and the nervous system in times when we have fear or are scared of something (ghostly fears etc) and consequently prevent a shock, heart attack, nervous breakdown, paralysis attack etc. We concluded by saying that there is a precaution to be observed while following the technique. Let's know about that in detail in this article.

Assume that in the technique mentioned, the ends of copper wrings were closed in shape, then let us the consequence of it.

In that case, the circuit will be open to electricity. This means the negative and positive terminal of the copper wrings were connected together. So, the electricity will be flowing just like the passage in a battery. Hence, the stored energy at the wrist point will pass on to the body. Then from the body, it will once again pass to the earth. This means, indirectly we are adding fuel to the fire. The ghostly energy will gain that power which has got passed on to the earth. This means the attack will be more. (The attack of ghost will be more). In order to avoid it, the ends of the copper wrings were kept open.

This is the scientific relevance of wearing the copper bracelet in the wrist, to drive away the ghosts in the forest.

Because when the wrings were open, the energy was not allowed to flow through the body to the earth. As a result the ghostly energy had no source of obtaining further energy.

Secondly, as a result of the same, the person wearing that copper bracelet could annul the ghostly energy with the help of the energy that he gained with the help of Acupressure technique that was enabled because of the bracelet.

GHOST represents the excess amount of negative energy (universal energy) in a particular place, which may pass on to our body. The acupressure point corresponds to annulling this excess energy. Ultimately thus the ghosts are nothing but reservoirs of negative energy.

In this article we will unfold the reasoning behind the words of the rishis which we mentioned in the previous article. They used to wear a bracelet around the wrist and used to claim that 'it would protect them from evil eyes'.

To explain the reason, firstly let's go back to Acupressure,

In Acupressure, there is a specific point to overcome fear, tension and anxiety.

Location: Along the most distal crease of wrist, on the ulna side, medial to tendon.

By giving pressure on this point for 3 minutes, one can be relieved of fear, tension and anxiety. This point actually strengthens the nervous system and balances the energy flow in the body and brings in the equilibrium.

The wrist band (bracelet) used by RISHI’S were made of copper (conductor of electricity) with projections in the form a ball on either side with an open end.

Note: The ends of the bracelet were kept open.

This specific point where the ends of bracelet touches the wrist, exactly coincide with the acupressure point corresponding to fear, tension and anxiety. Thus, by wearing the bracelet, they were actually giving hard pressure to relieve the fear from their mind.

The fear corresponds to excess energy flow (shi fluid) to a specific part of the body, at the expense of distribution to other parts of the body (As per acupressure).

This means, the excess energy flow in the body, passes to the wrist. The copper, which is a good conductor of electricity, absorbs this excess energy and passes it, to the specific acupressure point in the wrist. So, this energy balances the tension. In the, so called ghost affliction, people suffer from fits, strokes, sudden stoppage of speech, sudden paralytic attack of a particular part of a body without any pathological evidence. All these things correspond to sudden excess flow of universal energy from the earth to the human body.

Here the excess energy flow is compensated and properly circulated in to the body.
The circulation of energy flow brings in the equilibrium.

However there is a caution that one needs to observe in the above technique. Failing to observe that caution can be more fatalistic! To know about that caution, wait till the next article.

In this article we will continue our discussion on 'Nexus between Acupressure and Hinduism'. We will describe an Asana from Hinduism that deals with Acupressure.

In yoga and during meditation, an ASANA CALLED PADHMASANA is formed by folding the legs and keeping the spine and neck erect. This resembles lotus – PADHMAM, IN SANSKRIT. Hence the name PADHMASANA. Here the left leg is kept above the right leg, putting a pressure on the right leg below the knee- cap.

This particular point has a significance towards acupressure.

Location: About 3 inches above the medial ankle, behind the tibia is the acupressure point.
When you seat in PADHMASANA CORRECTLY, the pressure will be at this point.

This acupressure point corresponds to:

Curing of diseases like – Dysmenorrhea, Amenorrhea, Menorrhagia, Indigestion, Dyspnoea, Sex organ related diseases, sleeplessness, uterus pints (Corresponding to Uterus complaints). The pressure kept at this point, keeps the mind clean. It inhibits and checks the sexual cravings, which may distract the devotion, thereby improving the power of devotion ultimately leading to a divine bliss.

Thus the ASANA HELPS IN SOLVING THE PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM OF HUMAN BEINGS.

The ancient RISHI’s were good at gynecology. Don’t you agree?

So you see dear readers, there are so many unknown secrets in Hinduism! In todays world, majority of the so called 'Doctors' who have studied a lot of Science, even they, will not be able to answer the above issues. So if such knowledge is known to the people, then where would be the need to have doctors?

The RISHI’S used to wear a bracelet around the wrist in the hand. They used to say,
This will protect us from the evil eyes (So, called ghost affliction).

By listening to such words, people today will laugh! In this Y2K age, are you speaking about Black Magic! would be the reply.

The present day Psychiatrists proclaim that these are due to nervous deficiency. The nerve impulses need to be strengthened to relieve from the ailments.

But actually there was some hidden science in the words of the rishis. What was it exactly? Why did they claim that? If and how was it linked to the topic of Acupressure that we are discussing now? Let's know that in our next article.

So you all must be eager to know that how can a human being store the electromagnetic energy gained by him through meditation?

This process is described as below. All of you must be knowing how a battery works through the negative and positive terminals. So in a similar manner, this process also works. Read on to know about the same.

In meditation, a MUDHRA (Symbolism) CALLED CHINMUDHRA IS MUCH PRONOUNCED. Here a circle is formed by folding the index finger and the thumb.

The index finger represents the negative terminal and the thumb represents the positive terminal.This means the battery (our body current) is charged through the positive and negative terminal.

In Acupressure, the tip of each finger represents the ENERGY POINT. (Applicable to index finger also). The thumb represents the MENTAL NERVES. The bottom side of the thumb represents the backbone and the spinal chord along with the neck.

In meditation, the spine should be erect. The CHINMUDHRA, representing a closed circuit of battery, passes the power of meditation, in the form of electric impulses in to the body. The spinal chord conducts the nerve impulses and controls the motor nerves, which are the carrier of electric signals in to the body. Now, the Acupressure points, namely the TIP OF INDEX FINGER and the TIP OF THUMB, automatically redirects the stored energy of meditation in to the body. (Note, the right hand is kept in CHIN MUDHRA.)

The CHINMUDHRA HAS A SPECIFIC SIGNIFICANCE TO ACCUPRESSURE.

In the left hand, one more MUDHRA IS CREATED by stretching the thumb, index finger, little finger. (Remaining 2 fingers are folded.). This MUDHRA almost resembles the FLEMING’S RULE.

Thus our body turns out to be an electromagnet.

The energy is stored in the body through the CHIN MUDHRA IN THE RIGHT HAND.

The body is made as an electro magnet without appropriate orientation (direction) through the above mentioned MUDHRA, in the LEFT HAND.

Thus the electricity starts flowing. In the feet, the toes represents the positive terminal and the finger next to it, represents the negative terminal. A closed circuit of battery (body current) is created in the body. Through this circuit, the body current will drain out to earth. To avoid it, a PADHARAKSHAI (Wooden Slipper) is kept in the feet. This wood will break the circuit. Hence the energy will not be drained out.

We explained you a few things related to electromagnetism in the previous article. In this article let's see how its possible to establish a link of those things with Hinduism.

Till now we have been considering the electro magnetic powers possessed by non–living things or objects.
But dear readers, is it known to you all, that even living things possess the electromagnetic powers? How does one acquire the power? Read on to know it.

Yes its true! The human body is a great electromagnet! Also, the earth is a great electromagnet!

The energy released by the actions of people, which may be positive or negative, releases an electric impulse in to the cosmos. Energy is released by us through each and every action that we perform. When we talk to people, energy is released, when we quarrel with anyone energy is released, when we take out frustration on something or someone energy is released etc. This energy is termed as positive or negative on the basis of the action, in each case. These electric impulses collectively form an electric field and enter the earth.

When the electricity passes through the earth, the earth acquires a magnetic filed around it. (By Flemings Rule – Electricity will create a magnetic field around the conducting medium. Refer our previous article for Flemings Rule.)

This magnetic field acts, in the north south direction. Thus earth is a great electromagnet.

Also there are millions and millions of people. So, the electricity stored will be millions and millions of electron volts in their bodies.

Consider this example to understand how electromagnetic powers are there in human beings.
A RISHI (sage) in meditation:
An Iron rod kept near the magnet acquires magnetic power. But, at the loss of the magnet, the iron loses the magnetic power once again.
The same thing happens here. The earth acts as the magnet. The RISHI acts as an iron piece. The RISHI acquires the magnetic power from the earth through meditation. When he becomes thoroughly magnetized by the power of earth, he acquires the immense power of millions and millions of electron volts. This means, he is all powerful – like earth.

But then, as per electromagnet theory, when this electricity passage is stopped, then automatically, the magnetic power also gets lost. (If you can recollect the example of an electric bell mentioned in the previous article.) So, this means the electricity from the earth should pass through the body continuously. The energy gathered from the earth should not be drained out. Yes! That’s the main and most important point. The energy attained by a person should not get drained away.

There are techniques which the Rishi's or sages of ancient India knew to prevent such energy from draining out of their body. What are those techniques? Eager to know? Wait till our next posting to know about the same.

The concept of an electromagnet

The agenda of this article is to explain a few concepts related to electromagnetism.
In the concept of electromagnetism, Flemings Left Hand Rule and Flemings Right Hand Rule play a significant role.

They explain the relationship between

1) The Conductor
2) Electricity
3) Magnetism.

The concept which lies here is, when electricity passes through the conducting medium (conductor), a magnetic filed is created around it.

For the purpose of understanding this rule, hold your left hand as follows:

The thumb pointing upwards and the index finger pointing in a direction parallel to the ground. The other fingers are closed in the palm. (These directions are for a person standing on the ground in an upright vertical position.)

Supposing the direction in which the electricity was conducted through the conducting medium was represented in the direction of index finger, and if the magnetic field is represented in the direction of say towards the little finger, then the direction in which the electricity will be flowing, can be represented as the direction of thumb pointing upwards.

Electromagnet – the concept behind this is – When a conducting body attains magnetic power, on passage of electric current through it, then that body is called as electromagnet. However, the body loses the magnetic power, when the passage of electric current is stopped.

Let us take a very practical and day to day example on this concept. All of us are very well aware of the door bell. The door bell in our house works on this principle. When we press the button, the electricity passes to the magnet. The magnet gets magnetic power through the electricity. It starts vibrating. It (the magnet) hits, the bell and creates the sound. When we release our fingers, the passage of electricity is stopped. The magnet loses the magnetic power. So, it does not vibrate. So, the magnet does not hit the bell and the bell remains in rest. As a result no sound is produced.

In short, when current is on, the magnetic power is on.
In short, when the current is off, the magnetic power is off.

Note: The term current refers to the passing of electricity through it.
This is what electromagnetism is.

We explained the link of concepts of Permutations and Combinations with the design or the manner in which the ancient hindu scriptures have been written. We will continue with a few more examples of such scriptures, scripted scientifically.

PURANAS:

There are 18 PURANA’S. Each of them has Slokhas equivalent to RAMAYANAM.
In our previous article we mentioned that there are 24000 shlokas in RAMAYANAM. So, the total number of shlokas comprising the 18 PURANAS would be 24,000 * 18 = 412,000 shlokas.

CHANDHA’S are called CHANDHAI in Tamil. NALAYIRA DHIVYA PRABHANDHAM has 4,000 Slokhas. Calculate the 2ⁿ value for this also in the same manner as was explained in our previous article.

There are types in metrical chanting (chanting in chandha's). The Scriptures are written and recited only in CHANDHA’S. The meters or types of Chandha's are GAYATHRI, ANUSHTUP, TRISHTUP, BRIHATHI, BHANGHTHI.

The words namely Logarithm (Log Book), e^x Series (Exponential Series), Gregories Series(Trignometric Series), PERMUTAION and COMBINATION are known to mathematics students. They are all accepted theorems and series. The values given in them are accepted throughout the world by renowned scientists.

In the same way, the above meters were in practice in olden days belonging to RISHI’S.
Can any maths student say, 2ⁿ is child play and foolish?
Can any knowledgeable man say CHANDHA’S of VEDHA’S, are outdated? NO WAY.

Let us go back a bit and refer to the articles which contained the description of the great alwar, 'Nammalwar'. We mentioned in the article as to how; when Nammalwar was born, and the Sadam Vayu (the illusion of Maya) approached NAMMALWAR, it was driven away by the loud sound called 'Hungaram' that came out from NAMMALWAR's mouth. NAMMALWAR represents the incarnation of BHAGAVAN. The positive powers acquired through the chanting of the MANTHRA’S in the Chandha's (metrical way of chanting) formed a magnetic field around him. This magnetic filed (SUKSHMA SAREERAM) PAVED WAY FOR THE NEW BIRTH IN THE FORM OF NAMMALWAR. The immense power acquired and passed from the previous birth to this birth, had made him (NAMMALWAR) all powerful. In his previous birth's Nammalwar had earned a lot of positive energy and virtues due to such metrical chanting. This power was passed on to him in his birth as Nammalwar. That’s the reason why he had the strength to out beat the negative magnetic field as imposed by the Sadam Vayu.

This is the meaning behind the words… NAMMALWAR EXPELLED THE SADAM VAYU AND REMAINED UNAFFECTED BY MAYA.

We took you over to an altogether new topic in the last article when we started with
'The link between Chanting (the Lord's name) and Science'. It's known to you all now that Chanting also has to be done in a very systematic and scientific manner. It has to be 'Metrical chanting of a syncronised wavelength'. We even went ahead to quote a few examples of the same. In this article we continue with other such examples.

RAMAYANAM: It has 24,000 Slokhas. For RAMAYANAM, supposing say each Slokha has 8 words, then n = 24,000*8 = 1, 92, 000.
Then 2ⁿ = 2^1,92,000 = 2*2*2*…multiply up to 1,92,000 times.

BHAGAVATHAM: It has 18,000 Slokhas. For BHAGAVATHAM, supposing say each Slokha has 15 words approximately, then n = 18,000*15 = 2,70,000 words.
Then 2ⁿ = 2^2,70,000 = 2*2*2* … multiply up to 2,70,000 times.

MAHABHARATHAM: It has 1,00,000 Slokhas each of approximately 10 words, then
n = 1,00,000 *10 = 10,00,000 words.
Then 2ⁿ = 2^10,00,000 = 2*2*2*…multiply up to 10,00,000 times.

Now take your scientific calculator and operate x^y function.

Put x= 2, y = 1,92,000 = 2^1,92,000, for RAMAYANAM.

Put x = 2, y = 2,70,000 = 2^2,70,000 for BHAGAVATHAM.

Put x = 2, y = 10,00,000 = 2^10,00,000 for MAHABHARATHAM.

Find the answers of 2ⁿ for yourself.

For all those who are unaware: A scientific calculator has many such functions which the normal commercial calculator does not have. In the scientific calculator it's quite easy to find out the exponential values (2ⁿ types).

The purpose of this topic is to let the readers know the richness and depth of the sacred hindu culture. People ignorantly say that this culture is outdated. But then such ignorance can only be removed if the light of knowledge is flashed on such ignorance. The knowledge of the science that is present in Hinduism. The Vedas as well as the above mentioned scriptures like Ramayanam, Mahabharatham and Bhagvatham which are one of the important components of the Hindu culture have all been written or one can say designed in a very scientific way. There also exists a prescribed way of reciting the same. But its our misfortune that very few people are there now at present who have the knowledge regarding the same. Because not many would, if asked, opt to learn this Science hidden behind the proper recitation of scriptures and the study of the way the scriptures have been designed etc.

Chanting and Science

Radhekrishna. We shall explain you in this article the importance of chanting and the science that is present in the method of chanting. We will also explain as to why its said that chanting makes one powerful.

CHANTING OR NAMA JAPAM IS METRICAL CHANTING of SYNCHRONIZED WAVELENGTH.

There is something known as 'permutations and combinations' in mathematics.
For n= some value, there will be 2ⁿ combinations (2 multiplied by itself ….n times).
If n = 100, then there will be 2¹⁰⁰ combinations (2 multiplied by itself…. Up to 100 times.)

The VEDA’S are done and recited only in CHANDHA’S (METRICAL CHANTING)
i.e. the theory of PERMUTATIONS AND COMBINATIONS are used to design and recite the scriptures like Vedas.

In RIG VEDHAM, there are 1064 hymns. The hymns are composed in the GAYATHRI CHANDHA. (It is a meter of 24 letters in 3 parts) or ANUSHTUP CHANDHA (It is a meter of 16 letters in 2 parts).

Note that the word CHANDHA means metrical chanting which automatically means all permutation and combinations. (2ⁿ combinations).

Supposing, the hymns are in GAYATHRI CHANDA

THEN FOR THE 1064 HYMNS EACH HAVING 24 LETTERS IN THEM.
= 1064* 24 LETTERS = 25, 536 LETTERS.

If n = 25,536, then the permutation and combination will be 2²⁵⁵³⁶ = 2*2*2* …. Multiply Up to 25, 536 times.

Now, supposing the hymns are in ANUSHTUP meter,

THEN FOR THE 1064 HYMNS EACH HAVING 16 LETTERS IN THEM.
= 1064* 16 LETTERS = 17,724 LETTERS.

If n = 17,724, then 2ⁿ = 2¹⁷⁷²⁴ = 2*2* 2* …multiply up to 17,724 times.

Each of the above figures will be a huge value.
Any mathematics student will accept permutation and combination.
In the same way any devotee will accept CHANDHA’S.

If 2ⁿ is a superstition in mathematics, then CHNADHA’S is a mythology in Hinduism. Is it Superstition?
